That's right! We are so pleased to announce that Zoey's Attic has officially opened its new brick-and-mortar retail location at 20 N Gore Avenue in Webster Groves, MO.  Store hours are 9:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday; 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday; and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. You can also connect with Zoey's Attic-Webster Groves on Facebook where updates on store hours, products, and special deals will be shared with all our friends.

Our Zoey's Attic online shop was officially launched in November 2006 by Erin Delanty, aka Zoey! The inspiration for the website came shortly after Erin and her husband, Tim, welcomed the birth of their first child, Bridget, in August of that year. In May 2008, Bridget became a big sister herself and the inspiration continues! After searching unsuccessfully online for unique newborn baby bodysuits and tees and listening to family and friends who were having difficulty finding those very special one-of-a-kind big brother / big sister shirts and matching sibling sets, Erin decided to use her background as a graphic designer and web developer to design her very own line of products. Erin's initial idea was to create a web-based shop where new parents and parents-to-be could involve all members of the family in sharing the oh so exciting "baby news" by offering a variety of pregnancy or baby announcements and hard to find big brother and big sister shirts and gifts. Zoey's Attic sold its first shirt just two days after launching the website and development has expanded based on the initial and continuing positive response of our greatly appreciated and much valued customers. Since opening, Zoey's Attic Personalized Gifts online shop has continued to grow and now offers many additional high quality products for the entire family including adorably designed and personalized pillows, tote bags, and drinkware. Here you will also find the sweetest ever embroidered personalized items for baby shower and newborn welcoming gifts. Additionally, Zoey's collection includes a wide variety of custom seasonal and holiday related products perfect for personal use and gift giving too!

Erin and her husband Tim have been lifelong residents of Webster Groves, MO and are so excited to bring their successful internet based business to Old Webster! Mother's Day is a day of appreciation celebrated in countries around the world. For example, Norway toasts her moms in February,  Kurdistan in June, Thailand and Costa Rica in August, Argentina in October, and Russia in November. In the U.S., the second Sunday of May each year is set aside to honor our Moms. When I was a little girl I didn't have any money (we weren't given an allowance back then), so I had to be creative when it came to gift giving.  I would often times rummage through my dresser drawers and choose a prized possession of mine to give for a birthday or Christmas present.  For special occasions such as Mother's Day and Father's Day, I would typically make a greeting card by creating an awesome piece of artwork (at least I thought it was awesome!) and adding sentimental words of love and appreciation.  My parents always seemed to love these very personal gifts above all others.  When I became a mom I soon learned how truly special it was to be on the receiving end of such gifts. Santa Claus is coming to town! This classic holiday song has been a favorite of mine (and so many other children and adults alike) from the very first time I heard my mom sing it to me. It has remained a best-loved song as I have shared it countless times with my own children and so many nieces, nephews and friends. The original song was written in 1934 by John Frederick Coots and Haven Gillespie, and it was an immediate hit!  Over the years it has been recorded by various artists including Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra in 1935 and in more recent years by Bruce Springsteen and of course, the ever popular version by Ms. Mariah Carey.  During the holidays (and depending on the situation it may not have even been the holidays!), my mom would remind my siblings and me that "He's making a list, Checking it twice, Gonna find out who's naughty or nice." Well this little reminder was definitely a catalyst to be extra nice so I wouldn't find any coal in my stocking on Christmas morning! What comes to mind when you hear the word "turkey"?  Well, for starters it's a large bird related to the chicken, but to millions of people in the United States it immediately brings thoughts of the Thanksgiving feast.  Of course, Turkey is also a country in Western Asia / Southeastern Europe.  There are several other connotations of note as well.  The term "turkey" can refer to a foolish person and it also can define a failure as in a theatrical play or movie.  It even has a meaning in the world of sports.  For example, when a bowler has three consecutive strikes it is known as a "turkey."  Then we have "cold turkey" which refers to an immediate and complete withdrawal from an addiction such as cigarette smoking, alcohol, or even drugs.  For me, I prefer to think about the delicious roasted turkey we serve each and every year on Thanksgiving Day!  I'm so happy the Native American Wampanoag tribe introduced the turkey to the early Pilgrim settlers!  So whatever your connection may be with "turkey" Zoey's Attic has colorful and fun turkey designs making for the perfect Thanksgiving shirts for everyone in the family.

It's the last day of September and it seems all the stars have aligned perfectly! That is, if you're a sports fan! I love this time of year when so many of my favorite sporting events overlap. We have the St. Louis Cardinals finishing in first place in the National League Central Division and heading to the NL Division Series later this week. Our hockey team, the St. Louis Blues, has completed pre-season play and the opening game here at home is also this week. Then, of course, we are home to the St. Louis Rams football team. Well, let's just say I like football a lot and follow the home team, but the Rams play so far this year is making it a bit difficult to be an avid fan. Almost Fall!

The variety of colors and aromatic scents of the garden are some of life's most awesome gifts!  Gardening is a source of comfort, therapy if you will, for many people.  Personally, for me, it can be a major source of frustration as I definitely do not have a very "green" thumb.  I prefer to visit the magnificent Missouri Botanical Garden located here in St. Louis.  It is a National Historic Landmark and our nation's oldest botanical garden in continuous operation. Locals know the garden as Shaw's Garden. The land was owned by Henry Shaw, and his estate home from 1850 remains on the garden property and is open for tours. A recent brunch and casual walk through the Garden was exhilarating!  The English Woodlands were lovely and so peaceful. A stop at the pond in the beautifully understated Japanese Gardens to feed the carp is always a must.  Just watching the excitement of the children feeding these large and very colorful fish is a special treat! Then continuing along the path you eventually arrive at the experimental flower and vegetables gardens.  Staff is always present to offer helpful ideas and suggestions for the novice as well as the experienced gardener.  I was surprised to see so many pumpkins already popping out from beneath their large leaves... a sign Fall is not far away. It got me thinking about the months ahead and all the upcomimg fun activities like apple picking and the annual visit to the pumpkin patch. Autumn is perfect too for gathering family and friends for a hayride and roasting marshmallows around a bonfire. You'll want to check out Zoey's Attic for the perfect shirt for all your Fall activities.

Back To School Fun!

I attended a private school when I was younger and we always wore a uniform... green plaid jumper with white collared blouse in elementary school, and a gray and gold skirt, white collared blouse, and gray blazer with school emblem during my high school years. My neighborhood friends attended the local public school. They didn't have to wear a uniform, and I was so jealous of them! My big shopping adventure during those years was not for new school clothes, but rather, it was for a special matching short and top set for our annual school picnic at the close of each school year. In those days we didn't return to school from summer vacation until after the Labor Day holiday in early September. So my "street" friends shopped at a nearby mall or local discount store like a K-Mart in early August for "back to school" clothes. Back then (in the olden days as the kiddos refer to them... makes you feel really ancient!) we never had an inkling that one day our "back to school" shopping would be done online! Gee, we didn't even know what the internet was nor did anyone even own a computer! My how times have changed!
