Here is the latest on our Father's Day processing and shipping schedule: our U.S. customers can order your Father's Day gifts through Saturday, June 10th with BASIC shipping thereby avoiding any additional upgraded shipping costs. Unfortunately, the international shipping deadline for Father's Day has already passed. Then if you plan to order on Sunday, June 11th or Monday, June 12th you will need to select PRIORITY processing and shipping at checkout to receive your order in time for the Father's Day festivities. You must upgrade to EXPRESS shipping (U.S. domestic) for delivery of your gifts before Father's Day if you order on Tuesday, June 13th or Wednesday, June 14th. You can still order with Express shipping on Thursday, June 15th, but we are so sorry we cannot at that time guarantee a Father's Day delivery even with this upgraded shipping method. That's right! We are so pleased to announce that Zoey's Attic has officially opened its new brick-and-mortar retail location at 20 N Gore Avenue in Webster Groves, MO.  Store hours are 9:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday; 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday; and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Our Zoey's Attic online shop was officially launched in November 2006 by Erin Delanty, aka Zoey! The inspiration for the website came shortly after Erin and her husband, Tim, welcomed the birth of their first child, Bridget, in August of that year. In May 2008, Bridget became a big sister herself and the inspiration continues! After searching unsuccessfully online for unique newborn baby bodysuits and tees and listening to family and friends who were having difficulty finding those very special one-of-a-kind big brother / big sister shirts and matching sibling sets, Erin decided to use her background as a graphic designer and web developer to design her very own line of products. Erin's initial idea was to create a web-based shop where new parents and parents-to-be could involve all members of the family in sharing the oh so exciting "baby news" by offering a variety of pregnancy or baby announcements and hard to find big brother and big sister shirts and gifts. My Addiction

Don't get excited, it's not what you think. But I do have a confession to make and here it is... I am a chocoholic, cake-aholic, ice cream-aholic, candy-aholic. There, I've admitted my weaknesses! I have an addiction to all things sweet! I'd rather have a cupcake and coffee for breakfast than cereal and orange juice. I'd prefer a bowl (or two!) of chocolate ice cream for lunch rather than a salad. I'd love nothing more than a scrumptious Milky Way candy bar and bowl of M&Ms for dinner instead of steak, potato, and vegetable. Since I have now acknowledged my penchant for sweets, I suppose I'll share with you my all-time favorites list:

Well, there you have it! Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! So now you might have figured out that Halloween is one of my most very favorite days of the year! Just think, all that candy and it's even free! Halloween evening will come and go and as usual I will stuff myself with candy. I've never been able to stop after just one or two pieces.... voila, I'm addicted!

Halloween is next month and before I am overcome with a sugar high I need to focus on our costumes! Zoey's Attic can help with adorable shirts and bodysuits for baby's first Halloween. Christmas In July

So it's a week after the Fourth of July celebration and I should start thinking about a back to school list, but honestly I can't help myself from thinking about the Holidays! And I'm not referring to Halloween or even Thanksgiving, but rather "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!" There's no hiding my excitement, Christmastime is my favorite season! Although our family fully participates in the true "reason for the season" we also greatly enjoy the giving (and of course the receiving!) that accompanies the Christmas festivities. It is such pure joy to witness the excitement in the faces and actions of the children and adults alike as they open their Christmas presents. Observing throughout the year the likes and dislikes of your children, family, and friends certainly helps with making decisions about what gifts each would like for the holidays. A unique personalized item is always a good bet, and definitely a welcomed and much appreciated gift.

Last year I surprised my Godson with the funny parody shirt "The Grandfather." The wording was easily customized to say "The Godson," and this was the perfect gift since he is my first Godchild. And, it was an especially fun present since "The Godfather" is his all-time favorite film series.

My niece's family is really into dinosaurs and so this year I'm thinking about the adorable "dinosaurus" set for the entire family. It's easy to add an extra shirt for "mommysaurus" and will surely make a fun Christmas present.  I just need to decide if my niece would prefer the shirts in white, gray, or navy blue! I'm thinking she'd prefer a darker color so the stains on the kids' shirts won't be so readily apparent! I think I really like the set in navy blue that was featured by Savannah on her blog "Simply Me."

The March Equinox marks the moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator, the imaginary line in the sky above the Earth' s equator that runs from south to north. This year it will occur on March 20th and marks the first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. The 2014/2015 winter wasn't nearly as awful in our Midwest location as the previous winter season, but I am still ever thankful it's almost over (even if we did have sleet today!). I'm so looking forward to packing away my many layers of winter shirts, sweaters, jackets, and coats. I love sorting through my Spring clothing and filling my drawers and closet with light colored and lightweight Spring apparel. Everything Is Better With A Monogram

Dictionary.com defines the word "monogram" when used as a noun as "a design consisting of two or more alphabetic letters combined or interlaced, commonly one's initials, often printed on stationery, embroidered on clothing, etc." Monograms in times past had been very popular and were often considered a symbol of social status. They have been around since about 350 B.C. when initial monograms were etched in gold coins and used by the Romans and Greeks as royal signatures. It was during the 19th century Victorian Era that socially prominent higher class individuals adapted the monogram for personal use. When I was a teen, any item showcasing your personal monogram was very popular! As a matter of fact, when I graduated from high school my most prized gift was a set of beautiful cut out gold monogrammed earrings with matching necklace. During my high school and college years I also had several additional monogrammed items including a brown leather belt with gold plated monogrammed buckle and matching brown leather handbag with antique gold monogram clasp. Actually, monogrammed anything was all the fad in those days! In the subsequent years, the styles changed to a more causal wear and I sadly moved my treasured monogrammed apparel and accessories to the back of my closet. Today, the monogram once again holds a notable place in the world of fashion. Currently, a resurgence of the monogram was seen on the runways during the Fall 2014 Fashion Week. "W Magazine", a monthly American fashion magazine published by CondeNast Publications says "everything just seems better with a monogram on it."

When I was a young school girl and in the primary grades, our room mothers hosted holiday parties to celebrate Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day. And if our St. Louis Cardinals Baseball team made it to the playoffs or World Series we had game watch parties at school to cheer on our hometown baseball club. The school I attended required the students to wear uniforms. Mine was a green and black plaid jumper with a white pointed collared shirt, either short or long sleeve. The boys wore black belted navy blue pants and also a white pointed collared shirt. The uniform shirt was made of 100% cotton which required ironing before it could be worn in public. So Sunday evenings were set aside for ironing all the shirts that would be needed for the family for the entire week ahead. My mom (and me too!) were so thankful when the cotton blend permanent press shirts made the scene in the local department stores. So luckily for me now that I'm all grown up I rarely have to iron anything! I do, of course, own an ironing board and deluxe steam iron, but they sure get a lot less use than the ones we had when I was a little girl!
On our holiday party days at school we were given an out-of-uniform day. This meant we could wear a special outfit of our choosing. I remember as a child making our party shirts at the kitchen table the weekend before a scheduled holiday party. When my daughter was born I never in my wildest dreams thought I would one day be shopping online.  I must admit I love it! There are so many specialty shops with just the perfect gifts for anyone and everyone...even those hard to buy for friends and relatives whom seem to have it all! I especially love looking at all the unique outfits and gifts for the little ones. You can find anything from embroidered blankets to sibling shirt sets and even a personalized birthday shirt made to match your party theme! One item that has gotten a lot of my attention is the birth announcement pillow.  As I feel my age more and more (yes, it happens!) and with life being so hectic, I have found my memory isn't quite what it used to be. I'm thankful I decided to video so many special moments like first steps, first words, birthdays, and holidays... you know those times you were sure you would never forget but sadly sometimes do. In recent years I have even turned to taking pictures of where I set my holiday decorations so I can refer back to them the following year when it's time to do it all over again! December 11th - 15th: you must add EXPRESS to ensure your international order will arrive in time.
We will ship orders out as fast as we can in the order they are received, but adding an expedited method is always best to ensure delivery in time! Thanks so much for your patience during our very busy Holiday season!  December 20th we will stop shipping Christmas orders so we can start enjoying a little downtime with our family (and start our shopping!!).  Happy Holidays! :)
