I have always been fascinated by giraffes! They somehow manage to walk along with such grace, and it's truly admirable considering they typically stand about 16-20 feet tall! The average weight of the female giraffe is about 1800 pounds, while the male giraffe averages about 3500 pounds. That's ginormous! Their beautiful patchy coat serves as camouflage in the savannas and woodlands of Africa.  A favorite childhood (and adult) memory is seeing the giraffe family at the zoo. Cookie's 19th Birthday

 

So here's the deal... I love dogs! One of my dogs, Cookie, turned 19 years old on Christmas Day 2011!  Now that's old for a doggie!  Although she doesn't get around like she used to she still enjoys our company and her nightly treat.  She also wears a diaper (vet approved, of course!) and a onesie to hold it in place.  She seems to be like some other senior women I know...the bladder can be a problem!  Anyway, besides personalizing the onesies for my sweetheart, I also have some fun Tshirts for my other doggies!  So here, I guess, is my question for you ... am I the only crazy dog lover dressing up the crew, or do you also dress up your doggies?  Would love to know! It’s a five mile run, and you can sign up as a competitive or non-competitive runner, or you can even participate while toting the kids in a stroller. Turtle T-shirts are ALL the rage these days!

Okay, so there may not be a HUGE demand for turtle t-shirts, but one little 18 month old girl (you guessed it - my little 18 month old) loves them! So much so that she is always saying "tur-tle" and pointing them out. You really would be shocked how easy it is to find turtles in everyday life! Who would think she could find one in Trader Joe's? But, she did and then the rest of the shopping trip it was "tur-tle, tur-tle, tur-tle" promptly followed by some screaming when her mean mom (that would be me) wouldn't buy the wine bottle with the turtle on it!

So, in honor of my little budding herpetologist, I came up with a line of animal t-shirts. Now your little turtle fan or whatever animal fan can wear his or her favorite animal. Currently, I only have about 3 designs, but I'm taking requests and would love to hear what your son or daughter's favorite animal obsession was or is. Leave me a comment and let me know!
