Oh my! It's already the last week of April! I'm looking forward to a warm sunshiny May and of course Mother's Day! As I've shared in a previous post, May is my all-time favorite month of the year. When I was younger it signified the end of a long school year was near and the much anticipated summer vacation would be arriving sooner than later!  However, the most favorite May date ever was my very first Mother's Day. The memory is forever etched not only in my mind, but also forever in my heart. I will always fondly remember that May morning seeing my sweet first born baby girl sitting in the middle of our bed holding a bottle of what at that time was my favorite perfume. The bottle has been empty for oh so many years now, but I have kept it as a special keepsake from my first Mother's Day. All grown up now my daughter recently asked me why I have this empty perfume bottle on my dresser. She is not a sentimental "saver" (possibly hoarder is the more correct term..ha!) like me so I think she was less than impressed that I had kept it all these many years. But, it is a special memory from a special time in my life and I will always cherish this empty bottle of perfume that was my very first Mother's Day gift.
