Here is the latest on our Father's Day processing and shipping schedule: our U.S. customers can order your Father's Day gifts through Saturday, June 10th with BASIC shipping thereby avoiding any additional upgraded shipping costs. Unfortunately, the international shipping deadline for Father's Day has already passed. Then if you plan to order on Sunday, June 11th or Monday, June 12th you will need to select PRIORITY processing and shipping at checkout to receive your order in time for the Father's Day festivities. You must upgrade to EXPRESS shipping (U.S. domestic) for delivery of your gifts before Father's Day if you order on Tuesday, June 13th or Wednesday, June 14th. You can still order with Express shipping on Thursday, June 15th, but we are so sorry we cannot at that time guarantee a Father's Day delivery even with this upgraded shipping method. We are processing and shipping all Father's Day gifts and personalized shirts as fast as we possibly can, but the one thing for sure is that we can't control the speed of the U.S. Postal Service. Father's Day is Sunday, June 19th. What are your Father's Day traditions? Our weekend customarily begins on Saturday with a family luncheon date at Bogarts Smokehouse. This is Dad's favorite barbeque restaurant! If you are ever in the St. Louis area you MUST stop here! Bogart's made YELP's top 100 restaurants in the U.S. in 2015. The ribs and brisket (really everything!) are my family's favorites!

Dad loves all things sports and especially baseball and hockey! Really though who doesn't love the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues? Hopefully the St. Louis Blues will be the 2016 Stanley Cup champions when Father's Day rolls around this year! Now that would be super exciting as we have never won the Stanley Cup in our almost 50 year history! And you would think he would want to spend Father's Day at a Cardinal baseball game. Surprisingly his request each year is to have a family outing at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. It is a place of scenic beauty and enticingly fragrant aromas. The Garden also has a working flower and vegetable garden with educational facilities too. Docents are always available with the answers to your gardening questions.

It's Almost Spring!

The March Equinox marks the moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator, the imaginary line in the sky above the Earth' s equator that runs from south to north. This year it will occur on March 20th and marks the first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. The 2014/2015 winter wasn't nearly as awful in our Midwest location as the previous winter season, but I am still ever thankful it's almost over (even if we did have sleet today!). I'm so looking forward to packing away my many layers of winter shirts, sweaters, jackets, and coats. I love sorting through my Spring clothing and filling my drawers and closet with light colored and lightweight Spring apparel. I fondly remember my husband's First Father's Day. We spent the day at one of his favorite places to visit, the Missouri Botanical Garden. It was a delightful June day in St. Louis, not as oppressively warm as it usually is on Father's Day. While touring the flowering gardens, an elderly woman also enjoying the magnificent colors and fragrant scents of Shaw's Garden approached my husband and wished him a happy Father's Day. Then she also told him his daughter was more beautiful than any of the flowers in the garden. My husband, on this his very First Father's Day, beamed with pride! I was so thankful for the encounter with this woman (unknown to us) for adding to the joy of his special day. Her kind words have held a cherished place in our hearts ever since that very 1st Father's Day. So if you ever have an opportunity to make someone feel extra special...just do it!
