Calling all Twitter/Blogging mommies!

I'll let you all in on a little secret - I'm a blogger. Not just here - but for my family. I blog about the kids and work and what shoes to buy for that party next week. AND - I tweet. Yup. A. Lot. So, I've made some fun little products for myself that a couple of my other blogging friends wanted and so on and on, so I thought maybe you guys reading this blog might like them, too!

If you're as in to blogs, tweeting, facebook and more as I am - than you might just be a Social Network Addict, too! :)

Grab a coffee mug or t-shirt and tell the world about it. Hey, if we can't poke fun at ourselves, who can we? I think these make great Christmas and anytime gifts for the mommy blogger (or reader) in your life. HINT HINT husband!!!

Halloween Time AGAIN?!!

Help ZA fans! QUICK! I need some Halloween costume help for my kiddos. My just-turned 3 year old is very set on being "Ariel" aka a mermaid for Halloween. I could just go buy the canned costume, but I was looking for some fun ideas to make it a little more special and homemade then just the Disney out of the box Ariel. Any thoughts? All I have so far is a stuffed Flounder add on... original I know, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Also, my 1 year old is probably just going to get his big sister's lion costume of a few years back (too bad she wouldn't be Dorothy.. how cute would that be?!) but again, any suggestions/help would be awesome.

Tell me - what are you all doing for Halloween? What was your most favorite Halloween costume/idea?

Does anyone have any cute t-shirt ideas or slogans they'd like to see? If you submit one and I use it, I'll send you the shirt for free! Visit our Halloween Pregnancy Announcement section for inspiration!

Happy Halloween prep everyone and PLEASE send ideas STAT!!!

We interrupt this (non-regularly scheduled) blogging to bring you a vacation recap

Sorry friends. I've been horribly negligent with my blog over here at ZA. See, to be truthful, I maintain many a blog in many a different areas and keeping up with them all is not always as easy as I think it should be.

In addition, we've been busy over here! Our birdie line is taking flight (sorry, couldn't help it)! We are selling Pecking Order shirts like crazy and have had a little bit of a hard time keeping up with the demand, so things like blogging have suffered a tad!

We also snuck away for a little family vacation. Well, I'm not sure if I can actually call it a vacation. Sure, there were beaches, pools and palm trees but with two kiddos under three the word "vacation" doesn't seem to be a perfect fit. However, we did have a blast showing them the ocean and building sandcastles. It was really a great time - car problems, ear infections and all!

We've got some exciting more stuff coming later this summer including some fantastic photo contests and more - so stay tuned. We're back and we're blogging better than ever!

Hope you all are having a wonderful summer. What are you all up to? Anybody take a vacation this year? Where did you go and how did you manage all the work of getting there and staying there? Let me know!

daddy - superhero

I just finished this shirt for an Etsy customer and I thought it was so cute, I had to post it here. What a fun father's day gift! I bet he'll feel like a superhero wearing this cute shirt! I love it when shirts look this good.

Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there!

A new kind of Baby Announcement - Birth Announcement Shirts!

I think this is so cute, but I can't take all the credit, I had a customer request it and now I'm sharing it with you all.

If you're looking for a fresh, fun birth announcement we've got the onesie for you! After the new baby arrives, you can outfit them in this adorable onesie, we'll fill in all the details for you - birth weight, height, date, parents names and any siblings and then ship you this adorable shirt. Take a photo of the little one in this outfit and there you have it - all the information right there on the shirt.

I'm working on a sample later this week, but so far the response has been great. Let us know what you think. If you like this idea, let us know.

ps - Did you know? When you comment on a Zoey's Attic Blog Entry, we automatically enter you in a drawing for a free shirt. Shirts are drawn at the end of each month - so don't be shy friends. Tell us what's going on with you and you might just win free cool stuff from ZA!

Sail away with me...

Every mom needs a break sometimes, and I finally got mine when my husband and I took a 7-day cruise through parts of Central America, Mexico and the Bahamas! It was so relaxing. I mean, take a look at that beach. I loved all of the places along the way, but I think Honduras was my favorite. It is so beautiful there, and the people are incredibly friendly.

Give your hubby the hint with one of our designs. Try our “Mom Needs Coffee” t-shirt or throw on our adorable “Crabby” t-shirt. He’ll get the idea, and you’ll be on your way to Aruba! OK, maybe not, but it’s worth a try, right?

St. Patrick's Day T-Shirts!

New moms and dads, don't worry! St. Patrick’s Day can still be fun with a kid or two. Or three or four as the case may be! This year we went to the St. Patrick’s Day Run. It’s a five mile run, and you can sign up as a competitive or non-competitive runner, or you can even participate while toting the kids in a stroller. Here are some pics of my baby girl and me at the start line. Bridget was such a trooper!

And, of course, we at Zoey’s Attic we believe there’s no better way to get your family in the St. Patrick’s Day mood than a lucky Irish t-shirt! We’ve got special shirts for everyone from your St. Patty’s princess to her Irish grandpa. Just think how adorable the pictures will be!

More birdies - birdies, birdies everywhere!

I am barely keeping my head above water these days with my Etsy shop. Apparently, the birdie shirts are quite popular with the sibling set. I am definitely NOT complaining about having all these shirts to print, it's just I often lose of how awesome what I do is. These aren't just white t-shirts, they are really exciting things for the recipients! Whether it's a gift or a pregnancy announcement, someone on the receiving end of my hard work is really excited. That's probably why I spend too much time (from an economic standpoint) making sure each one is just right and that the birdies are spaced right and the font looks just perfect on each shirt. When I question the time I spend and the amount of headaches that go into printing these shirts myself, I get a picture like this from a happy customer and I get tears in my eyes looking at those beautiful girls meeting their brand new baby brother with their "big sister" shirts on! Aahh! It's so awesome!

I thought I'd also post the biggest birdie order to date. I shipped out this order for four siblings today! We've done our fair share of threesies, but this was the first "foursie" and adorable it was, even if I do say so myself! I'm sure before long, this adorable set of four shirts will be worn by four very excited siblings and I'll think about that next time I'm cussing out my printer for jamming! :)

Not That you Asked, but I'm so gonna tell you anyway!

I have a few favorite bloggers, okay, I have a lot of favorite bloggers, but one of my first favorites that I became a loyal reader of was Not That You Asked. Emily is the blogger and she truly makes me laugh out loud almost everytime I catch up on her life with a two year old son and newborn baby girl. Plus, I can SO relate, with a 2 1/2 year old girl and a baby boy of my own.

Since I love her blog so much I sent her son and new baby matching big brother/little sister shirts a while back and she posted some adorable pictures of her cute kiddos sporting them. Check 'em out at this post over here.

Since she posted the shirts, I've had a few of you wondering where you can get your very own personalized (or not) birdie shirts, hop on over to my etsy shop or contact me directly if you have some specific requests!

You really need to check out her hilarious blogs is you don't already. She also blogs for Parents.com, so catch up with her now...go... read! Thanks again Emily!

I mean, seriously, how cute is that?

Yes, I design shirts and yes, I like to make money designing shirts, but really - really why do I do this? Cause I know personally how much fun it is to see your little one in an adorable shirt announcing your family is expanding.

Now, if you know me in real life, rest assured, my family isn't growing again any time soon, BUT I thought this shirt was too cute not to model my babygirl (who's almost 2 1/2 now!) in it during a recent cupcake baking and decorating session! Think how fun that would be to email to friends and family and see if they figure it out or have your little one wear a pregnancy announcement t-shirt to a family birthday party, gathering, etc... I just love the element of surprise and better yet, the look on everyone's face when they figure it out!
