Hi friends! Can hardly believe it's already the last day of June 2013! June was an awesome month! We were so excited to see so many Dad's receive such special surprises for Father's Day. Moms, the personalized designs and tweaks to designs you suggested were incredible, and I know those amazing Daddies appreciated your thoughtful Dad's Day gifts! June has also brought the launch of our new Zoey's Attic site. We're still working out the kinks that always accompany any website upgrade, but overall we're pretty thrilled with the results so far. Hope you like it too! Zoey's Attic would be nothing without all of your love and support and we are so appreciative! Thank you so much and Happy July! :)
True confession here... the Fourth of July isn't my favorite holiday. As a kid, it meant summer vacation was on the downward slide and I didn't like that scenario at all! And another true confession... I'm afraid of fireworks! Pyrotechnics really scare me and I'm sorry to have passed this fear on to my daughter as well. I don't like the loud booming noises and I certainly have never enjoyed sparklers. Sadly, someone gets a sparkler burn every year at our family get together. However, I do like watching our community's spectacular firework extravaganza. It is always very professionally done and very pretty with lots of oohs and aahs! Also, in addition to my independence and great pride in this awesome country I call home, I love the gathering of family and friends for the annual Independence Day barbeque. How exciting would it be to announce to all your loved ones that a precious new baby will be at the celebration next year? Even better, let one of the kiddos wear an "explosive secret" tee and sit back and enjoy all the fun watching everyone figure out what the shirt says! Zoey's Attic has super cute personalized tees for this very special day!
In less than two weeks it will be the day set aside to celebrate our June honorees... our Dads! I have been so blessed with exemplary male role models whom have supported and loved me through all of my life's trials and tribulations. It is a sad fact that not every child knows the love of a nurturing father, and it is my sincere hope that these children have found someone to fulfill this crucial role for them. Personally, I have only the greatest admiration for the men who surround me and so greatly enrich my life. When I see my brothers and my husband interact with the children, I know they have learned from the best...my precious grandfathers, my own loving father, and my dearly loved father-in-law. They are each in their own unique way a bright and shining example of fatherhood par excellence, and their protective love is deeply felt by all who know them. So, on Father's Day why not surprise the special men in your life with a special gift he will forever cherish. Zoey's Attic can help.
